JANUARY UPDATE
By
Kylee Hesseltine
How are your new year goals coming along? With three young children, I kept my expectations realistic this year to limit any self disappointment. I heard that it takes twenty days to create a habit but after 31 days the only solid routine in my life is still just a strong cup of brew in the mornings.
My oldest child is a threenager and always has her own opinions about things. Recently, her favorite phrase she likes to throw at me with a butt load of sass is, “I’m already a winner.” The first couple times, it was cute- annoying, but cute. And now that I hear it on the daily, it really has me thinking that if I practiced her three year old, resilient, attitude, I could be a winner too! We all could be, actually. So, my challenge to you this year is to ditch your goals and just change your mindset! Remind yourself for the next twenty days, over a big ol’ cup of coffee, that you're already a winner!

As we wrap up another great real estate year and announce new ownership, I would like to express my wholehearted appreciation to those who have made the past 13 years successful. I will continue my role as the broker and retain my real estate licenses. Clients and customers, we truly value your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Agents and employees, thank you for being part of the team and all that you do. Attorneys, appraisers, inspectors, lenders, and title companies as well as other real estate agents, we have enjoyed working with you and welcome the opportunity again. Lastly, family and friends, thank you for the unconditional support as we say farewell to another year and celebrate new beginnings. We are ringing in the New Year with Kylee Hesseltine as the new owner. Congrats! - Janelle Johnson
Cord and I are thrilled to be back in cattle country to raise our family! We’re both excited to assist the Sandhills region with buying and selling real estate. - Kylee Hesseltine

DECEMBER UPDATE

We made it through December! Was it as rough as we anticipated? No. Were we ready for the snow storm that came after such beautiful weather all month? Also no. We were sure do for some moisture, though, and I don’t think it was a coincidence it all came when it did. For some reason, though, my in-laws were the only people in the state that were unaware of the storm coming and ended up staying a tad longer than expected. And by a tad, I mean a good three days- But, like I said, we made it through! A big thank you to the gas stations for being open on Christmas Day so we could stay stocked up on the “essentionals.” Regardless of the few days of chaos (and all the days leading up to that), December is a month of magic and memories for our family with young children so I am happy to deal with it for them. But, boy, am I also happy when it is over!

NOVEMBER UPDATE

2023 Thanksgiving is officially over and we have made it through yet another family gathering. This time of year makes me reflect on how far we have come and, obviously, all the things I am thankful for. And although my list of things I am truly blessed with is lengthy, my list of to-do’s seems to be never-ending which leaves me, as a business owner, wife, and mother of three littles, feeling much more stressed than blessed! My husband seems to think that everything will just work out and he doesn’t need to worry because I stress enough for the both of us- but rightfully so because in the mix of casseroles and Christmas lists, gearing up for the holidays is like taking on another part-time job! Regardless, I wake up to the four people that make it all worthwhile and that, plus a cup or two of coffee, is all the fuel I need.
Now, “if we make it through December”...
